Four LCSD Teachers to Participate in Corporate Challenge Championship
Friday, May 11, 2018
Each year, Liverpool Central School District employees participate in the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge alongside individuals from numerous Central New York companies and organizations.
But did you know that the Corporate Challenge holds a championship race for some of its best runners, and that four teachers will represent the Liverpool Central School District during this year’s race in Boston, Massachusetts?
Chestnut Hill Elementary kindergarten teacher Kelly Graham, Elmcrest Elementary & Long Branch Elementary special education teacher Sarah Kimball, CHE special education teacher Abigail Sayler and Liverpool High School physical education teacher Tracey Vannatta will travel to Boston for the race on June 21. The four qualified for The Championship because they had the lowest cumulative time in the women’s category during the 2017 Corporate Challenge in Syracuse.
The three and a half mile race will bring together the first-place men’s, women’s and mixed teams from each of the 13 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series cities. A total of 156 participants representing 39 companies and seven countries will compete that day. JP Morgan Chase is sponsoring the group’s trip.
Liverpool is once again the only school district that will compete during The Championship race. Last year four teachers – Andrew Dionne, Ben Ludovici, Ryan Poley and Daniel Young – represented Liverpool during The Championship event in Germany.
